At our February 10th meeting, some of the girls from our troop had the opportunity to lead the OCBC Girl Scout all troop flag ceremony. The theme for this month‟s Journey project was community service. We decided to contribute to two groups this year: the wives of the Miramar Raiders Squadron and also the Halcyon House homeless shelter which the Anaheim Girl Scout Service Unit is supporting this year. At our October 14th meeting, the Brownies earned their first Brownie “Wonders of Water” journey badge by learning about the different ways we can conserve water. We all brought a reusable water bottle to our meeting and took a group photo together. We learned that we can reduce waste by using our reusable bottles rather than using plastic water...
