This month Cadette Troop 675 made origami cranes for the 1 year anniversary of the devastating earthquake/tsunami in Japan. We mourned over the lives that were lost and hope someday Japan will be the same. The cranes were distributed on Sunday at service by the girls in our troop. February was full of planning, organizing, and prepping for Cadette Troop 675. A few of the patrols in our troop had to create posters for stations for our annual Girls’ Day event. The Cadettes are in charge of making posters, leading a group, and teaching a station. We always want to make it more fun and better every year.

Many thanks to the Cadettes who came to help at the OCBC Mochitsuki on Sunday, December 18th. Everyone who went had a great time.

Another busy month for the Cadettes.
On November 18th, Captain Kevin Koyama and Marines from his squadron came to OCBC to teach a self defense class to the girl scouts.
On December 3rd, the Cadettes participated in the annual OCBC Church Clean Up. We cleaned the MPB Conference Room.

The Cadette Troop has been on the move. On Saturday, November 5th, many of the girls from our troop attended the Disney Youth Education Leadership class. The Cadette Troop has been keeping busy. On October 2nd, some of the Cadettes went to Tanaka Farms for an AWARE Observational Trip. Farmer Glenn Tanaka spoke to our troop about the importance of clean air and how the air affects what they do.
