The Girl’s Day event and Girl Scout Sunday was a great success. We give a big thank you to Mr. Shimizu and Mrs. Miyamoto for chairing Girl’s Day. It’s cookie time! Girl Scouts are currently selling Girl Scout cookies and it is especially important for the seniors because one-half of the profits go to our gold awards. Seven scouts from Senior/Ambassador Troop 881 were presented with the President’s Volunteer Service Award during the Investiture Ceremony held on October 28, 2011. Senior troop 881 went to a Boeing soup kitchen activity. First, we unloaded all of the items. Some of the categories were tomatoes, sauces, potatoes, cranberry, fruits, cereal, soup, stuffing, pasta, gravy, green beans, corn, beans, peas, condiments, hygiene items, snacks, and many more.
