The senior luncheon was held on January 9th, with February birthday celebrations for Fusako Kawabata, Walt Iwakoshi, Sus Iwamasa, and Winston Shigenaga. A special Happy Birthday to all of you! There were 86 people in attendance. Thank you to M. Furuya, I. Kurosu, K. Sarashina, H. Ito, J. Sarashina, and Mr. & Mrs. Harada for their monetary donations. Also, thank you for all the other donations: kuromame from K. Kikihara, 20 lbs. of rice from M. Sawada, daikon & flowers from N. Okada, and strawberries from Ito Farm – Oxnard. The next senior luncheon date is February 13th.

The meeting for February will be on February 19, 2012 at 12:30pm in the MPB Conference room. All members are welcome to attend. Refreshments will be served by the December, January, and February Toban groups.

BWA bento sale will be on March 4th. The July toban is in charge along with advisors, S. Kusumi and M. Yamamoto. If anyone has time, please come out to help on Saturday (Mar 3) between 9a–3p and Sunday (Mar 4) between 8a–2pm. Spring Ohigan seminar will be March 10th and Ohigan service will be March 11th. There will be no BWA meeting in March. In lieu of a meeting, BWA will be taking a bus to Pechanga on March 17th. BWA members plus one guest will have priority. All others will be placed on a waiting list and will be notified two weeks before if there is space available on the bus. The deadline to register is February 26th. The cost is $2 for members and $5 for all others.
