Learn About The Dharma

  • YouTube Live

We want our Sunday services to be available to all who wish to watch and listen, even if they cannot make it to our campus. You can watch our services streaming live on YouTube Sundays at 10am, or watch recordings of previous services.

  • Sunday Services

We welcome adults and children of all walks of life to join us for our regular Sunday services, held at 10 AM. Our ministers provide Dharma talks about Buddhism and ways it can help us in everyday life. Due to COVID-19 precautions, we are limiting capacity. Watch us on YouTube Live or attend in person.

  • Sunday Dharma School

The OCBC Dharma School explains the teachings of the Buddha to students pre-k through high school and helps them have a better understanding of Shin Buddhism. Our curriculum consists of Buddhist Holidays, Buddhist Etiquette, the Life of the Buddha, the Life of Shinran Shonin, and many other Buddhist-related topics. Many of our temple members volunteer to teach classes after Sunday Service. Learn about the Buddha with us!

  • Sunday Adult Discussion

Sundays 11am on Zoom we provide a seminar style talk on applying Buddhism in adult life. Adult study is led by a minister or minister assistant on a rotating basis, often accompanied with a brief reading followed by group discussion. You can register for adult study using the link below.

  • Sunday Mindfulness Service

    MEDITATION, CHANTING, AND ACTIVE LISTENING

Take a moment to sit, chant, listen, and bow. Sunday Mindfulness Service meets at 8:30 AM in our Kodo (our small temple). The minister or minister assistant will guide the group through sitting and standing meditation, chanting (as sound meditation), and a Dharma message. Sunday Mindfulness Services are slightly longer than the Wednesday online format. Capacity is limited.

  • Wednesday Zoom Mindfulness Meditation

An essential part of walking the Buddhist path is engaging in Buddhist practice. Every Wednesday at 7:00 PM, we host an online mindfulness service so you can practice meditation, chant, and listen to the Dharma wherever you are. Each online mindfulness service is led by a minister or minister assistant over Zoom. You can register below to access the Zoom link.
